Press release - half year accounts 2004 Print E-mail

Marine Farms ASA can report that the positive trend of the 1st Q. 2004 has continued. The operating profit for the first half of 2004 was a loss of 3.1 mill NOK compared to a loss of 24.1 mill NOK in 2003.

  • In July this year the Company completed a capital increase which gave 47 mill NOK in new capital
  • Turnover for the first half of 2004 increased by14 mill NOK, an increase of 6% from the same period in 2003
  • The first six months of the year is normally poor for the concern as the majority of fish growth comes in the second half of the year
  • The half year result was a loss of 15.9 mill NOK before tax compared to a loss of 32.8 mill NOK last year
  • The Company view the future optimistically and otherwise refer to the Consolidated Report for the first half of 2004.
