Marine Farms ASA has today acquired 1 000 000 own shares from the company's wholly owned subsidiary Sea Products of Scotland Ltd, according to authorisation from the general meeting. The price per share is NOK 14, totalling up to a purchase price of NOK 14 000 000. The reasons for the acquisition is to prepare for the secondary sale which may take place on or before 9th of October 2006 as part of the Offering as further described in the Prospectus dated 25 September 2006, on such terms and conditions as further stipulated in the Prospectus.Prior to the acquisition, the company owns 8 000 own shares. The combined nominal value of the stock of own shares after the acquisition does not exceed 10 % of the company's share capital, ref the Public Limited Companies Act section 9-2.
